So, one of the biggest questions people have about melatonin is probably: does melatonin actually work? Have there been any clinical studies to show that buying melatonin will actually result in a person getting more or better quality sleep? Well, yes. Melatonin does work and it is effective. In fact, in trials melatonin decreased sleep onset latency in people with a primary sleep disorder. Sleep Onset Latency was decreased greatly in people with delayed sleep phase syndrome.

About 12 years ago I was lean. In fact, I was medically underweight. But I felt fit, great, healthy and had absolutely no issues at all regarding my weight and general all-round health. This is because I had a physically demanding job and working outdoors all day, keeping active for 8 hours just to perform my work meant weight gain was never something I ever thought I’d have to worry about. The difference was immediate.

The fact that I was finally able to get up in a morning after a good night’s sleep gave me more energy to do some exercise first thing and I ended up losing more than a stone following this relatively minor lifestyle change.

Did melatonin directly make weight come off? No.

Did melatonin massively help me lose weight? Absolutely!!

Melatonin for Sleep

I have used various sleep aids on off for the past decade. Melatonin for sleep is easily and comfortably the best. I’ll explain why. I purchased melatonin after I’d tried sleeping pills my doctor gave me. The sleeping pills made me sleep but I felt like hell in the mornings. To the point where I wished I hadn’t even been asleep at all. I was wiped out.
